Overview Of A Modern Home With Brick Facade By The Seaside — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage home movie captures a modern seaside house in Izmir, Turkey, with a distinctive stone facade and large glass windows overlooking the water. The clip shows a person standing on the balcony and another near the entrance, with the calm sea stretching to the horizon under an overcast sky. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 grain, color fading, and a slightly shaky handheld perspective, evoking a nostalgic, wistful mood of a mid-century coastal vacation. The building's mid-century modern design blends with the natural landscape, offering a rare glimpse into everyday life and architecture of the era.
