Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1951 Westville, New Jersey home-movie footage suited for productions needing a brief indoor celebration or candid mid-century family gathering moment.
Period detail: The woman's curled hairstyle, red lipstick, dangling earrings, and patterned blue dress support an early-1950s domestic social setting.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged-looking moment as a woman laughs, gestures upward, and appears to throw or toss something while others sit nearby.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a laughing woman in a blue patterned dress, red wall, floral curtains, seated people, dim interior lighting, and handheld close framing.
Film character: The 8mm color footage has warm grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, and slight handheld movement that read as physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, reaction shot, memory beat, or transition within sequences about family parties or domestic celebration.
Historical context: The scene offers visual evidence of informal indoor social life and women's dress in a private New Jersey home setting in 1951.
Research note: Faces and a private interior are visible, so likeness and property considerations may require review separate from copyright status.
Research search match: Useful matches include 1951 New Jersey home movie, 8mm indoor party, laughing woman in blue dress, and mid-century family celebration footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1951 Westville material, then broader indoor family celebration or mid-century domestic scenes.
