Entrance To Confederateland Amusement Park — Clip Details

FLORIDA USA-1962: A vintage 8mm home movie captures the entrance to Confederateland, a themed amusement park in Perrine, Florida. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s Florida travel, roadside attraction, amusement park, and family vacation sequences needing authentic visitor-shot entrance footage.
Period detail: The frames show early-1960s automobiles, a large Confederateland entrance sign, ticket booth styling, and roadside amusement signage supported by the 1962 metadata.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a visitor-shot viewpoint from outside the entrance, recording the attraction briefly rather than staging an event.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include the Confederateland entrance, red-and-white booth, small train display, roadside sign, classic cars, palm-like planting, wagon wheel, and distant visitors.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries soft focus, visible grain, color fading, gate shadows, dust, and slight handheld instability typical of home-movie footage.
Edit role: Editors could use it as a short establishing insert, transition, or memory beat for mid-century Florida leisure and roadside entertainment.
Historical context: The footage places a Confederate-themed amusement attraction within everyday 1960s vacation culture, shown through casual roadside views rather than formal documentation.
Research note: Visible attraction names and visitors require review for trademark, likeness, and location/property considerations; copyright clearance is separate from those issues.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1962 Florida 8mm amusement park entrance, Confederateland Perrine home movie, roadside attraction footage, and vintage family vacation film.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other 1962 Florida travel footage, then broader 1960s amusement park, roadside attraction, and family vacation material.
