Shot on 8mm film in 1958, this vintage home movie captures a parade in Cheyenne County, Kansas. A float labeled 'CITIZENS OF OUR NEW STATE' moves through the streets, carrying costumed participants including children in white dresses and adults in colorful attire. The footage shows a mix of seated and standing riders, with some wearing feathered headdresses, under bright daylight. The grainy, slightly faded color and subtle camera shake reflect authentic Super 8 home movie quality, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century American community celebrations.
