Woman Petting Cat on Lawn During Thanksgiving — Clip Details

A woman in a white shirt and light pants kneels on a grassy lawn scattered with autumn leaves, gently holding and petting a black-and-white cat in a tender moment. The scene unfolds on a sunny day in 1969, captured on vintage 8mm film with warm, slightly faded colors and natural film grain. The woman cradles the cat, which stands on its hind legs, showcasing a classic home movie aesthetic. A handwritten label confirms the date: November 27, 1969, during Thanksgiving. This nostalgic footage evokes mid-century Americana and personal family memories.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing late-1960s Wisconsin home-movie footage of domestic outdoor life, pets, Thanksgiving-season family memory, or quiet Americana cutaways.
Period detail: The white clothing, faded color stock, lawn setting, and metadata date of November 27, 1969 support a late-1960s home-movie context, though no public landmark is visible.
Home-movie behavior: The woman kneels close to the cat and gently steadies it for the camera, giving the shot an unstaged family-observer quality.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a kneeling woman, a black-and-white cat, grass, fallen autumn leaves, bright sunlight, soft shadows, and 8mm frame edges.
Film character: The clip has warm faded color, visible grain, slight softness, uneven exposure, and handheld framing consistent with scanned 8mm home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, memory beat, pet cutaway, or seasonal transition within a family, Thanksgiving, or domestic-life sequence.
Historical context: The scene documents a casual household moment outdoors, suggesting personal family life and pet companionship rather than a public event or staged activity.
Research note: A recognizable adult face appears, and supplied rights flags note possible logos or brands, so likeness, trademark, and copyright clearance should be reviewed separately.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1969 Wisconsin home movie with cat, Thanksgiving family pet footage, 8mm woman petting cat on lawn, and autumn backyard home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Wisconsin 1969 footage, then broader 1960s home-movie scenes of pets, lawns, autumn, and family gatherings.
