Amish Women Square Dancing in Street — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1969, this vintage home movie captures a lively street scene in Holland, Michigan. A group of women in traditional Amish-style bonnets and long dresses perform a square dance on a sun-drenched suburban street. The colorful, slightly faded film shows participants in black, white, and bright blue skirts moving in formation, with onlookers watching from the sidewalk. Lush green trees and residential houses frame the scene, with a blooming pink cherry tree adding a splash of color. The footage has a nostalgic, authentic quality with natural light and subtle film grain.
