Man With Sideburns Makes Odd Faces During Interview — Clip Details

A man with long dark hair and prominent sideburns sits at a table in a dimly lit room, wearing a light-colored jacket over a collared shirt. He is being interviewed, speaking into a handheld microphone held by an off-screen person. His facial expressions shift from focused to animated, including exaggerated and humorous grimaces. The footage is shot on 8mm film, showing characteristic grain, color distortion, and soft focus typical of home movies from the mid-1970s. The overall mood is candid and quirky, capturing a spontaneous moment of personal interaction.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s Kentucky home-movie requests needing a candid interview moment, expressive reaction shot, or informal indoor character detail.
Period detail: The light jacket, wide collared shirt, long hair, sideburns, handheld microphone, and soft 8mm color may show mid-1970s informal interview style.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged exchange as the seated man reacts to an off-screen interviewer and shifts through focused, awkward, and comic expressions.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a seated man, light jacket, collared shirt, sideburns, table surface, plain interior wall, handheld microphone, and off-screen interviewer hand.
Film character: The scan carries 8mm texture with visible grain, soft focus, slight color cast, uneven exposure, and frame-edge darkness that support a home-movie archival feel.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief interview insert, humorous reaction cutaway, character beat, or transition into a personal-memory sequence.
Historical context: The scene reflects a casual private interior recording where a microphone and home camera capture an informal conversation rather than a staged broadcast setting.
Research note: People and a private interior are visible, so likeness, privacy, and property review may be needed; copyright status is separate from those permissions.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1976 Kentucky 8mm interview footage, man with sideburns, funny facial expressions, handheld microphone, and vintage home movie interior.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other shots from the same reel, then Kentucky 1976 material, then related 1970s home-movie interview or candid reaction footage.
