Off Screen Person Holds Black Microphone To Man Wearing... — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1976, this vintage home movie captures a man in a yellow jacket and collared shirt seated at a table, appearing to sign an item while an off-screen person holds a black microphone toward him. The scene takes place indoors under dim, greenish lighting, with a poster reading "DEFENDER OF QUALITY" visible on the wall. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 footage evokes a strong sense of retro nostalgia, capturing a candid moment likely from a local event or interview in Kentucky.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1970s Kentucky 8mm clip can support edits needing a brief indoor interview, signing, or local-event table scene with visible handheld home-movie texture.
Period detail: The clothing, handheld 8mm look, tabletop microphone, and wall poster may show a mid-1970s local event or informal promotional setting.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the candid, unscripted feel as a seated man responds to an off-screen microphone while handling or signing an item at a table.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a seated man in a yellow jacket, a collared shirt, a black handheld microphone, a tabletop glass, a wall poster, and an off-screen interviewer.
Film character: The footage has soft focus, greenish indoor exposure, visible grain, frame weave, and contact-print instability that read as authentic scanned 8mm texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a cutaway for community interviews, autograph or registration moments, local press coverage, or a memory beat from a 1970s event.
Historical context: The scene suggests informal face-to-face media or event interaction in a private interior, without enough visual evidence to identify the person or occasion.
Research note: Faces, a private interior, and partial poster text are visible, so likeness, property, and possible trademark or artwork review may be needed separate from footage copyright.
Research search match: Researchers might search for 1976 Kentucky home movie, 1970s indoor interview, man with microphone, yellow jacket signing, or local event Super 8 footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1976 Kentucky interiors, then broader 1970s community interview or local-event footage.
