Miss Minnesota and Decorated Parade Floats — Clip Details

MINNESOTA USA-1961: A vintage 8mm film clip captures a 1960s parade with a woman in a blue dress waving from a white convertible labeled 'Miss Minnesota.' The car moves through a crowd on a city street, passing storefronts including a dry cleaning shop and a Volkswagen dealership. The scene shifts to a whimsical parade float shaped like a large white and pink platypus, decorated with flowers and labeled 'St. George's Dragons,' rolling down the road. The footage shows classic 1960s Americana with period clothing, classic cars, and festive crowds, offering authentic archival material for documentaries, nostalgic content, and history projects.
