A young boy in patterned swim trunks climbs the metal ladder of a backyard pool in this 1966 8mm home movie from the US Virgin Islands. He carefully ascends the steps, gripping the rail, before stepping onto the concrete deck. The scene shifts to a woman in a red swimsuit and white swim cap swimming freestyle, then returning to the ladder. The footage captures authentic summer recreation with vintage film grain, warm color tones, and the casual atmosphere of a family pool day.
