A young child in a patterned swimsuit climbs the metal ladder of a backyard swimming pool, gripping the rail with both hands. Shot on 8mm film in 1966, this vintage home movie captures a candid moment of a toddler learning to exit the water. The pool’s blue-green water ripples around the child, with weathered concrete edges visible. The footage shows natural film grain, slight color fading, and authentic Super 8 motion, evoking a nostalgic 1960s American summer. This archival clip is ideal for documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic storytelling.
