A vintage 8mm home movie from 1966 captures a tender moment in the US Virgin Islands, showing a woman in a white swim cap and patterned bikini supporting a small child in a swimming pool. The child, wearing a polka-dot swimsuit, clings to the woman's back as they move through the water, their arms wrapped around her shoulders. The footage, shot on Super 8 film, displays natural film grain, slight color fading, and a warm, nostalgic quality characteristic of mid-century home movies. The scene evokes a sense of family leisure and carefree summer days.
