Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1940s Santa Cruz home-movie footage for editors needing a brief leisure cutaway of people seated beside an outdoor swimming pool.
Period detail: The scene may show late-1940s poolside leisure, with wooden deck chairs, a striped patio umbrella, lawn, railings, and soft color 8mm texture.
Home-movie behavior: The footage observes a woman and another seated figure relaxing quietly by the pool from a casual, distant home-movie viewpoint.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a swimming pool, pale deck edge, metal railings, wooden chairs, green lawn, striped umbrella, trees, and seated figures.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, mild color fading, visible grain, and contact-sheet framing that contribute to its home-movie archive texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short insert, transition, or memory beat for mid-century family recreation, travel, or poolside leisure sequences.
Historical context: The clip offers visual context for informal postwar outdoor recreation in Santa Cruz without documenting a specific public event or named venue.
Research note: People and faces appear at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; copyright, privacy, and property questions should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Likely search matches include 1940s Santa Cruz poolside home movie, vintage 8mm swimming pool leisure, and woman seated outdoors by pool.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent material from the same reel, then Santa Cruz footage from 1949, then other 1940s poolside or family leisure scenes.
