Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for documentary or museum edits needing 1930s Canadian lake recreation, women's swimming, or summer leisure shown through real 8mm home-movie footage.
Period detail: The white swim cap, simple light swimsuit, black-and-white 8mm texture, and lake setting may show late-1930s recreational swimwear and outdoor leisure habits.
Home-movie behavior: The swimmer appears unstaged as she moves steadily through open water while the camera follows from a casual home-movie distance.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a woman in a white swim cap, light swimsuit, rippling lake water, splashes from her stroke, bright water highlights, and soft frame edges.
Film character: The clip has dense 8mm grain, high-contrast monochrome exposure, soft focus, and slight handheld framing that give it a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief recreation insert, summer memory beat, transition into lake life, or cutaway for archival sequences about swimming.
Historical context: The footage places a lone female swimmer in an outdoor lake setting, offering visual context for everyday recreation without making claims beyond the home-movie record.
Research note: A person is visible and likeness review may be needed; no logos, children, private property, or music are indicated, but copyright and publicity rights remain separate checks.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1939 Long Lake Canada swimming, woman in white swim cap, vintage 8mm lake recreation, 1930s summer leisure, and archival home movie swimmer.
