Mushrooms In A Field — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1967, this vintage home movie captures a serene natural scene of mushrooms growing in a grassy field. The footage features several pink-capped mushrooms scattered across a textured green and blue-toned landscape, with visible film grain, scratches, and slight color fading characteristic of Super 8 home movies. The camera remains mostly static, offering a quiet, nostalgic glimpse into a forgotten moment in nature. The image quality reflects the era’s amateur film stock, with soft focus and subtle color shifts, evoking a sense of time-worn memory and archival charm. Ideal for documentaries, editorial content, or nostalgic projects exploring 1960s home life and nature.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for a 1960s nature or travel cutaway needing real 8mm home-movie footage of mushrooms in grass, suitable for documentary, education, or editorial archive use.
Period detail: The soft focus, faded color, visible scratches, and 8mm frame edges support a late-1960s home-movie reading, while the field itself has no specific date markers.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged attention to small natural details, with the camera lingering on mushrooms rather than people or a planned event.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include pink-capped mushrooms, blue-green grass, soft ground texture, dark frame borders, vertical film scratches, and slight exposure unevenness.
Film character: The footage carries a physical 8mm character through grain, gate edges, color fading, soft registration, and minor scratches that read as archival texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a quiet insert, nature cutaway, transition, or memory beat within a 1960s home-movie or regional archive sequence.
Historical context: The scene offers visual context for amateur nature filming in the 1960s, showing a close observational view rather than a public landmark or social gathering.
Research note: No people, logos, music, or private property are visible, but users should still review copyright status and any collection-specific licensing terms.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1967 8mm mushrooms in field, Saint Petersburg Russia nature home movie, vintage grass cutaway, and 1960s amateur nature footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other 1967 Saint Petersburg material, then with broader 1960s nature and home-movie field cutaways.
