Vatican City in 1962, captured on 8mm film, shows a bustling crowd of tourists and pilgrims gathered in St. Peter's Square. People in period attire—women in skirts and hats, men in suits—walk across the expansive plaza, some ascending the steps of St. Peter's Basilica. The scene is filled with the energy of a sunny day, with bright natural light illuminating the grand columns and classical architecture. A priest in a cassock is visible among the crowd, adding to the religious atmosphere. The footage exhibits the characteristic grain and color saturation of vintage home movies, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century Vatican life.
