Family Boating On The Lake — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1939, this vintage home movie captures a family enjoying a sunny day on Clear Lake, California. Three individuals, including a woman in a wide-brimmed hat and a young girl in a sailor-style outfit, are seen in a small rowboat. One woman waves cheerfully while another rows, and the camera captures close-ups of their smiling faces against the calm lake waters. The grainy black-and-white footage, with visible film scratches and edge vignetting, evokes a nostalgic, authentic 1930s family outing.
