Six Trapeze Artists Performing High Up — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1948, this vintage clip captures six trapeze artists performing high above the circus ring at a Ringling Brothers show in Sarasota, Florida. The grainy black-and-white footage shows performers in classic circus attire executing acrobatic routines on suspended bars against a backdrop of the tent's structural framework. The low-angle perspective emphasizes their height and daring, with one artist hanging upside down while others balance on the trapeze. The film's natural wear, including scratches and dust, adds to its authentic archival quality, offering a nostalgic glimpse into mid-century circus entertainment.
