Woman Enjoying Summer By Lake Next To Classic Car — Clip Details

A vintage 8mm home movie from 1961 captures a woman enjoying a summer day at a lakeside in Clarkdale, Arizona. Shot on 8mm film, the footage shows a classic brown and white station wagon parked on a sandy shore. The woman, wearing sunglasses and a patterned top, stands beside the car, then leans on the hood, gazing toward the water. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1960s editorial or documentary requests needing American lakeside leisure, road-trip imagery, or a woman beside a mid-century car in home-movie footage.
Period detail: The station wagon styling, clothing, sunglasses, 8mm color, and metadata-supported 1961 date place the scene in an early-1960s vacation context.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has an unstaged home-movie quality as the woman stands and leans casually beside the car while facing the lakeshore.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a brown and white station wagon, a woman in sunglasses, sandy shore, calm lake water, distant mountains, bright sky, and film-frame borders.
Film character: The clip shows 8mm texture with visible grain, soft focus, color fade, slight exposure variation, and handheld framing that retain its physical-film character.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief cutaway, travel-memory insert, transition into a summer recreation sequence, or visual beat for mid-century personal leisure.
Historical context: The scene reflects private vacation or recreation imagery in the American Southwest, with car-centered lakeside travel visible rather than a documented public event.
Research note: A visible adult face and identifiable vehicle branding may require likeness and trademark review, while copyright clearance is separate from those checks.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1961 Arizona lake home movie, 8mm woman by classic car, mid-century station wagon vacation, and Clarkdale Arizona recreation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Clarkdale or Arizona 1961 footage, then broader 1960s lake, road-trip, and summer recreation scenes.
