A vintage 8mm home movie from 1968 captures a sunny day at a private backyard pool in Albany, New York. A family enjoys a summer day, with children and adults swimming, playing, and relaxing on the grass. A young boy in a red swimsuit sits on a lounge chair, while others splash in the clear blue water, some using inflatable rings. The footage shows a man standing by the pool edge and a woman in a light dress sitting nearby. The scene is framed with the characteristic dark borders of 8mm film, with natural film grain and slightly faded colors that evoke a nostalgic, mid-century American summer.
