Huge Water Fountain Sits In The Middle Of A Beautiful... — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1972, this vintage home movie captures a grand fountain in a sun-drenched courtyard in Iran. The camera moves slowly along a paved pathway, revealing multiple water jets arching against a clear sky. Lush green grass and vibrant flower beds with yellow and orange blooms line the walkway. Bare trees frame the scene, suggesting early spring. The footage shows classic Super 8 film grain and color saturation, with a few people strolling in the background. This archival clip evokes a sense of peaceful nostalgia and mid-century public space design.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s Iran home-movie footage suited for documentary inserts about public gardens, fountains, travel, or everyday urban leisure.
Period detail: The scene may show early-1970s public landscape design through paved walks, formal flower beds, open lawns, and a large multi-jet fountain.
Home-movie behavior: The camera records a visitor's slow look across the courtyard while a few distant pedestrians pass through the background.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include arcing fountain jets, paved paths, trimmed grass, yellow and orange flower beds, bare trees, shrubs, and distant people.
Film character: The 8mm footage has saturated color, soft focus, visible grain, slight gate edges, and handheld framing typical of scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a peaceful establishing insert, travel cutaway, transition, or memory beat for a public space in Iran.
Historical context: The clip documents a landscaped courtyard or park-like public setting in Iran without enough visual evidence to identify the exact site.
Research note: People appear only at a distance, but likeness, location, and property context may still need review separate from copyright status.
Research search match: Relevant searches include 1972 Iran 8mm fountain courtyard, vintage home movie public garden, and 1970s Middle East travel footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Iran 1972 material, then fountain, garden, courtyard, or travel cutaways.
