Donkey Leashed To Tree Near House — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1967, this vintage home movie captures a donkey tethered to a tree on a quiet street in Colorado. The animal stands near a white house with a porch, surrounded by trees and distant mountains under a clear blue sky. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s Colorado home-movie footage for editors needing a brief rural street cutaway with a tethered donkey near a modest house.
Period detail: The frame may show mid-century small-town domestic surroundings, with a porch, simple yard, road edge, and faded 8mm color supporting the 1967 home-movie context.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes an ordinary roadside animal moment without staging, preserving the informal attention and slight handheld drift of family-shot footage.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a donkey on a lead, a tree or tie point, pale house siding, porch railings, yard grass, road surface, and strong daylight.
Film character: The scan carries soft 8mm grain, gate edges, exposure variation, warm color fade, and brief blur that mark it as physical home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a quiet insert, rural transition, animal cutaway, or memory beat within a 1960s small-town sequence.
Historical context: The scene places a working or companion animal beside a residential street, offering visual context for everyday rural or small-town life without naming a specific town.
Research note: No people, logos, or music are visible or noted, but copyright, animal use context, and any recognizable residence should still be reviewed by the buyer.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1967 Colorado 8mm donkey, vintage home movie tethered animal, rural street house porch, and 1960s small-town Americana cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1967 Colorado exteriors, then broader rural animal or residential street home-movie material.
