Three Ladies In Lavender Dresses And One Man Leave — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1966, this vintage home movie captures three women in light lavender dresses and a man in a white shirt and dark pants leaving a light blue and red-sided house in Silver Lake, California. The women carry handbags and wear 1960s-style sleeveless dresses and bouffant hairstyles, while the man holds a small object. The scene unfolds on a sunny day, with a tall green evergreen tree visible beside the porch. The footage shows natural movement as the group exits the house and walks away, framed by the characteristic vignette and grain of Super 8 film.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing 1960s Southern California home-movie footage of adults leaving a residential house for documentary, education, or period lifestyle edits.
Period detail: The light sleeveless dresses, bouffant hairstyles, handbags, white shirt, and modest painted house support a mid-1960s domestic setting.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the unstaged exit from the house, with the group walking naturally and briefly interacting as the camera observes from outside.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include three women in pale dresses, one man in a white shirt, handbags, a light blue and red-sided house, an open doorway, porch steps, and a tall evergreen.
Film character: The 8mm image has soft focus, visible grain, bright daylight exposure, rounded frame edges, and slight handheld framing typical of scanned home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief domestic departure insert, family-memory beat, neighborhood transition, or cutaway for 1960s social life.
Historical context: The clip shows adults dressed for an outing leaving a Silver Lake residence, offering visual context for everyday middle-class domestic life in 1966.
Research note: People are identifiable enough to require likeness review, and the residential exterior may need property-context review separate from film copyright status.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1966 Silver Lake home movie, 1960s women in dresses leaving house, 8mm California residential footage, and vintage family outing.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other 1966 Silver Lake exteriors, then broader 1960s home-movie scenes of adults leaving houses.
