Shot on 8mm film in 1966, this vintage home movie captures a nighttime drive through Las Vegas, Nevada. The camera moves past iconic neon signs, including the Tardust and Riviera hotels, their bright lights glowing against the dark sky. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1960s Las Vegas night-driving footage for documentaries needing visitor-shot neon hotel marquees and Strip atmosphere.
Period detail: Visible era clues include large neon hotel signs, dark roadway lighting, passing car headlights, and marquee-style casino frontage associated with mid-century Las Vegas.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the value of an unstaged visitor view from a moving vehicle, catching signs as a traveler would have seen them at night.
What appears in frame: The frames show the Stardust sign, Riviera sign, glowing marquees, streetlamps, dark roadway, passing cars, and blurred neon against black sky.
Film character: The 8mm footage has deep night exposure, soft focus, motion blur, saturated neon glow, and visible film grain that support its archival home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, transition, or memory beat establishing nighttime Las Vegas travel in the 1960s.
Historical context: The clip visually situates Las Vegas as a neon entertainment corridor seen from the road, without showing crowds or interior activity.
Research note: Hotel and casino signs are visible and should be reviewed for trademark or contextual use; no people are visible, but copyright and property issues remain separate.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1966 Las Vegas 8mm night drive, vintage Strip neon signs, Riviera hotel sign, and Stardust sign home movie.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then with 1966 Las Vegas street footage, then with other night neon, road travel, or mid-century hotel-sign material.
