Vintage Car Pulling Parade Float Through The Streets In — Clip Details

A vintage 8mm home movie from 1965 captures a small-town parade in Clarkson, Nebraska. A homemade float, decorated with stars and a large sign reading 'OES 141' and 'STAR SPANGLED BANNER', is pulled by a light blue 1950s sedan. People in period clothing ride the float and watch from the sidewalks, with houses and trees lining the street. The footage shows the float moving through the town, with a man in a plaid shirt adjusting the display. The film has a distinct purple color cast and grain, typical of 8mm home movies from the era.
