Camden New Jersey USA-1964: House View In A Wood In A Sunny Summer Day

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Suits 1960s American suburban domestic-life sequences in documentary, educational, or narrative productions needing period-accurate residential exterior footage.

Period detail

The striped porch awning, birdbath, and residential architecture visible in the final frame are consistent with early-to-mid 1960s American suburban housing.

Home-movie behavior

The camera pans across the shaded yard before settling on the house exterior, suggesting a casual owner-shot survey of the family property on a summer afternoon.

What appears in frame

Shingle-roofed house, striped blue-and-white porch awning, outdoor lawn chair, birdbath pedestal, dense deciduous tree canopy, dappled sunlight on grass, green foundation shrubs.

Film character

Heavy 8mm grain with pronounced exposure variation between deep tree shadows and bright sunlit patches gives the clip the uneven, warm tonal quality typical of mid-century amateur film.

Edit role

Functions as a memory-beat establishing shot or transitional cutaway in a 1960s suburban domestic sequence; the final porch frame provides a usable hold for narration or title text.

Historical context

The awning-covered porch, birdbath, and informal yard layout reflect common mid-century American suburban residential aesthetics; no public landmarks or identifiable addresses are visible.

Research note

No persons are visible in the frames; the property appears to be a private residence, so confirm property release with the rights holder if a specific address becomes identifiable; copyright rests with the original filmmaker.
