Man Aiming Rifle in Wooded Area — Clip Details

A man in a light blue t-shirt and glasses aims a rifle in a wooded outdoor setting, captured on 8mm film in 1964. The footage shows him in a focused stance, taking aim with a bolt-action rifle, likely during a hunting trip. The scene is set in a grassy clearing surrounded by dense green trees, with natural sunlight filtering through the foliage. The image has the characteristic grain, color saturation, and slight vignetting of vintage home movie footage. The man's posture and concentration suggest he is targeting something off-camera. This authentic 1960s home movie captures a moment of outdoor recreation and hunting culture.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: This 1964 Camden, New Jersey 8mm clip can support archival requests for 1960s outdoor recreation, hunting culture, or civilian firearm handling in documentary and educational edits.
Period detail: The light short-sleeve shirt, eyeglasses, wooded clearing, and home-movie color stock may show a mid-1960s leisure outing rather than a formal or commercial shooting setting.
Home-movie behavior: The footage has unstaged home-movie value in the way the camera observes a man concentrating on aiming a rifle in a casual outdoor setting.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include an adult man in glasses, a light blue T-shirt, a long rifle, grassy ground, dense green trees, sunlit patches, and dark 8mm frame borders.
Film character: The clip carries physical 8mm texture through visible grain, saturated greens, slight softness, exposure variation, and contact-sheet frame edges.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief insert, cutaway, or memory beat for 1960s hunting, target practice, rural leisure, or firearm-related family footage.
Historical context: The scene visually reflects a private recreational moment in a wooded American setting, with the firearm presented as part of outdoor activity rather than an identifiable public event.
Research note: A visible adult face and firearm activity warrant likeness and contextual review, while no logos or private interiors are visible and copyright clearance remains separate from appearance releases.
Research search match: Relevant researcher searches include 1964 8mm hunting footage, man aiming rifle home movie, Camden New Jersey outdoor recreation, and 1960s civilian firearm footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then with other Camden or 1964 New Jersey home movies, and then with broader 1960s hunting or outdoor recreation material.
