Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage footage captures a chimpanzee in a zoo enclosure in Calcutta, India. The primate sits on a grassy ledge near a curved concrete wall, occasionally shifting its posture while observing its surroundings. In the background, a group of visitors, including adults and children, stand behind a white barrier, watching the animal. The scene is framed through a dark border, with visible film grain and slight color fading characteristic of Super 8 home movies from the era. The setting features a large building and green foliage, evoking a nostalgic, archival feel.
