River Harbor Scene With People Carrying Items On Their Heads — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage footage captures a bustling river harbor in Calcutta, India. The scene shows numerous people carrying goods on their heads, moving along the muddy shoreline. Several weathered wooden fishing boats are docked along the riverbank, with others floating nearby. The grainy, slightly faded color and visible film scratches give the clip an authentic archival quality, offering a glimpse into daily life and transportation in mid-20th century India.
