Shot on 8mm film in 1962, this vintage home movie captures a lively outdoor gathering in Calcutta, India. A diverse group of people, including men, women, and children in period clothing, are seen sitting and standing on a grassy slope beneath fluttering prayer flags. The scene unfolds on a bright day, with natural light illuminating the crowd and the surrounding greenery. The footage exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics: soft focus, film grain, and a slightly faded color palette, offering a nostalgic glimpse into daily life and community activity in mid-20th century India.
