Tampa Florida USA-1960: Two Ladies Pose For Photo In Front Of Mid-Century Building

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Fits documentary or educational requests for early 1960s American leisure culture, mid-century Florida tourism, and everyday civilian life in the American South.

Period detail

White ornate metal pergola, mid-century modern building facade with horizontal banding and large windows, and the women's sleeveless summer dresses are consistent with early 1960s American fashion and architecture.

Home-movie behavior

The two women pause and pose stiffly for the camera, a classic tourist-snapshot gesture revealing the self-conscious intimacy of home-movie vacation documentation.

What appears in frame

Two adult women in summer dresses, white ornate metal pergola arches, mid-century modern building with large windows, brick planter, palm trees, tropical foliage, and 8mm film sprocket borders.

Film character

Color fading gives the image a warm pinkish-lavender cast typical of aged 8mm Kodachrome or Ektachrome, with visible grain and soft focus adding period texture.

Edit role

Works as a vacation memory insert, a mid-century Florida establishing cutaway, or a transition into a broader narrative about 1960s American leisure travel.

Historical context

The mid-century modern building with ornate metalwork and tropical plantings suggests a hotel or resort commercial property; women's fashion is consistent with early 1960s American casual wear.

Research note

Both women's faces are clearly identifiable; likeness rights cannot be assumed cleared for commercial use; a commercial sign is reportedly visible elsewhere in the clip and may require brand review.
