Shot on 8mm film in 1957, this vintage home movie captures a Memorial Day parade in Normal, Illinois. Mounted police officers on horseback lead the procession down a tree-lined street, with crowds of onlookers gathered along the sidewalks. A classic red car follows the riders, adding a splash of color to the nostalgic scene. The footage shows the characteristic grain and slight blur of Super 8 film, with natural sunlight illuminating the mid-century suburban setting. This authentic slice of Americana offers a vivid glimpse into community life and public celebrations of the era.
