Shot on 8mm film in 1954, this vintage home movie captures a sunny day at a rural farm in Hicksville, New York. Brown and white cows graze in a green pasture behind a wire fence, with a white barn visible in the background. Two young children, a boy in a patterned shirt and dark pants and a girl in a white dress, walk hand-in-hand along a gravel path, their faces turned toward the camera. The footage shows natural movement and the characteristic grain and color palette of mid-century home movies.
