Woman And Child At Construction Site — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1954, this vintage home movie captures a woman and child at a construction site in Hicksville, New York. The woman, wearing a dark coat and red hat, holds a young child dressed in winter clothing as they stand near a large pile of sand and a partially built brick foundation. Bare trees and autumn leaves suggest a cold season. The footage shows them moving slightly, with the child eventually being held more closely. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film adds to its nostalgic, archival feel. This authentic slice of mid-century American life is ideal for documentaries, historical content, or nostalgic storytelling.
