Three Boys Rowing Canoe On Lake — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures three young men preparing and rowing a wooden canoe on a calm lake. Dressed in white t-shirts and dark shorts, they work in unison, their oars dipping into the water as the canoe glides forward. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s Boston-area home-movie footage for productions needing youth recreation, rowing, lake activity, or summer leisure inserts.
Period detail: The white T-shirts, dark shorts, wooden narrow boat, and faded 8mm color may show mid-1970s recreational rowing or paddling style.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged moment as three young men steady and row a narrow wooden boat while one turns toward the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include three young men, a wooden boat, oars, calm lake water, a dock edge, film-frame borders, and soft reflections.
Film character: The scan carries 8mm grain, mild color fading, soft focus, and frame-edge texture consistent with handheld home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief cutaway, memory beat, or transition for youth, summer, outdoor recreation, or family-film sequences.
Historical context: The scene reflects casual lakeside recreation in the 1970s without visible signage, landmarks, or identifying event context.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed separately from copyright, with no logos or obvious private property visible.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1970s 8mm rowing on lake, Boston home movie canoeing, young men in boat, and vintage summer recreation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel lake or family recreation scenes, then Boston 1975 material, then broader 1970s boating and summer leisure clips.
