Backyard Pool With Picket Fence And Lounge Chairs — Clip Details

MIDDLETOWN PENNSYLVANIA-1975: A nostalgic 8mm home movie captures a sun-drenched backyard poolside scene. A white picket fence lines the grassy lawn, leading to a swimming pool with lounge chairs and a lifeguard tower. The footage, shot on vintage 8mm film, shows a person near the pool and features the characteristic grain, color saturation, and soft focus of 1970s home movies. This authentic slice of Americana evokes mid-century suburban leisure and family life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s U.S. home-movie requests needing a brief suburban backyard swimming-pool leisure cutaway or family-memory insert.
Period detail: The white picket fence, vinyl-looking pool, lawn chairs, and soft 8mm color may show mid-1970s suburban backyard recreation in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes an ordinary backyard pool area from a distance, with a small visible figure near the pool rather than staged action.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a grass lawn, white fence, above-ground pool, lounge chairs, a small pool ladder or stand, trees, patio walkway, and one distant person.
Film character: The clip has soft focus, saturated greens and blues, uneven exposure, and visible 8mm frame borders that read as physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short cutaway, transition, or memory beat for suburban summer leisure, backyard recreation, or family life sequences.
Historical context: The scene reflects domestic outdoor leisure through visible backyard pool furniture and lawn space without supporting broader claims about the household.
Research note: A person is visible at distance, so likeness review may be needed; copyright, location, and any property concerns should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1970s 8mm backyard pool footage, Middletown Pennsylvania home movies, suburban lawn and picket fence, and vintage summer leisure.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then Middletown 1975 material, then other 1970s backyard, pool, lawn, or suburban leisure footage.
