Shot Of Suburban House With Four Windows On Second Floor — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a quiet suburban house in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The grainy black-and-white footage shows a two-story home with a prominent porch and four windows on the second floor, framed by bare tree branches. The camera moves slightly, offering different angles of the house's facade, with natural light casting shadows across the brick exterior. The film exhibits classic Super 8 characteristics—soft focus, film grain, and subtle edge vignetting—evoking a nostalgic, personal memory of mid-20th century American life.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s U.S. home-movie requests needing a quiet suburban exterior, residential establishing shot, or domestic neighborhood cutaway.
Period detail: The porch, brick facade, multi-pane upper windows, bare branches, and 8mm monochrome scan may show a mid-1970s residential streetscape in Harrisburg.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has an unstaged home-movie viewpoint, observing a house facade from outside with small handheld shifts rather than composed architectural coverage.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a two-story house, covered porch, four second-floor windows, brick wall, roofline, bare tree shadows, neighboring wall, and dark frame edges.
Film character: The footage carries 8mm archival texture through soft focus, grain, uneven exposure, slight handheld movement, and visible edge vignetting.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief establishing insert, memory beat, neighborhood transition, or domestic-life cutaway within a 1970s sequence.
Historical context: The exterior suggests ordinary American suburban housing and home documentation without showing occupants, street activity, or identifiable public landmarks.
Research note: No people, faces, logos, or music are visible or indicated, but copyright status and any property-release needs should still be checked before use.
Research search match: Search matches include 1975 8mm Harrisburg house exterior, 1970s Pennsylvania suburban home, vintage porch facade, and home movie residential cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Harrisburg 1975 exteriors, then broader 1970s suburban home and neighborhood material.
