Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing 1940s European amateur soccer footage for documentary inserts, sports history segments, or mid-century recreation context.
Period detail: The frame may show a postwar-era soccer match with plain uniforms, a grass field, simple goal area, and spectators standing close to the touchline.
Home-movie behavior: The value is in the informal spectator viewpoint, catching missed headers, raised arms, running players, and sideline reactions without staged presentation.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include soccer players in light shirts and dark shorts, a ball in play, grass pitch markings, a goalpost, sideline spectators, and dark film-gate edges.
Film character: The 8mm scan has high grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, vertical scratches, and dark frame borders that give the action a physical home-movie texture.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a brief sports insert, reaction beat, transition into postwar recreation, or cutaway illustrating amateur football culture.
Historical context: The clip visually documents organized outdoor team sport in Paris through home-movie observation, without identifying the club, venue, or event.
Research note: People are visible and likeness review may be needed; no logos or private property are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate from personality rights.
Research search match: Likely matches searches for 1947 Paris soccer home movie, vintage 8mm football match, black-and-white amateur sports footage, and postwar recreation film.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other shots from the same reel, then Paris 1947 material, then broader 1940s amateur soccer or European recreation footage.
