Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for requests needing 1940s Paris home-movie sports footage for documentary, museum, education, or period recreation edits.
Period detail: The long coats, dark uniforms, open grass pitch, and soft 8mm handling may show postwar-era amateur or local football culture.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has a distant, spectator-like viewpoint, catching play and sideline gathering without staged action or camera-aware posing.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a marked grass field, football players in dark and light kits, a ball, sideline figures in coats, shadows, and dark frame borders.
Film character: The 8mm scan carries sepia monochrome tone, visible grain, soft focus, gate shadows, and motion blur that read as physical-film texture.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a brief sports insert, memory beat, period transition, or cutaway for everyday recreation in postwar Paris.
Historical context: The footage visually places football within everyday public recreation, with suited or coated observers near the touchline rather than a formal stadium view.
Research note: People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may still be needed; copyright, location, and any event identification should be assessed separately.
Research search match: Search matches include 1947 Paris football game, 1940s 8mm sports footage, vintage home movie soccer field, and postwar French recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent shots from the same reel, then other Paris 1947 material, then broader 1940s sports or public recreation footage.
