Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1940s documentary or museum edits needing a brief Paris football scene with players spread across a grass pitch.
Period detail: The black-and-white 8mm view may show a mid-century match setting, with simple uniforms, open stands, and a wide spectator-side vantage.
Home-movie behavior: The clip has the feel of a spectator filming play from the stands, following the movement rather than staging a formal sports record.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include football players, grass pitch markings, open spectator stands, touchlines, dark film borders, and distant trees or terraces.
Film character: The footage shows grain, soft focus, high contrast, and slight handheld framing consistent with original 8mm home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short sports insert, period transition, or memory beat for postwar recreation and public leisure.
Historical context: The frames show organized outdoor football as a public leisure activity, without enough visible detail to identify teams, venue, or event.
Research note: People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may still be needed; no logos or private property are apparent in these frames.
Research search match: Searches such as 1940s Paris football match, vintage 8mm soccer field, French sports home movie, or postwar recreation footage may match this clip.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with the same reel, then other Paris or 1947 footage, then broader 1940s sports, recreation, and spectator-shot home movies.
