Group Of Hikers Crossing Stream On Fallen Log — Clip Details

Shot on 8mm film in 1975, this vintage home movie captures a group of hikers navigating a rushing stream in Agate Springs, Montana. A man in a plaid shirt appears to be giving instruction as others carefully balance on a fallen log spanning the water. The footage, marked by a distinct purple color cast and film grain, shows individuals in summer attire—hats, shorts, and backpacks—shuffling across the log, some sitting to maintain balance. The scene conveys a sense of outdoor adventure and camaraderie in a natural, wooded setting.
