Camping In A Tent Surrounded By Grass And Trees — Clip Details

A man in a plaid shirt and straw hat stands near a red tent in a wooded campsite, while a woman crouches nearby organizing gear. The scene, shot on 8mm film in 1975, captures a quiet moment of outdoor life with lush green trees and grass surrounding the camp. A white tarp hangs in the background, and a wooden pole holds camping supplies. The final frame shifts to a purple-tinted shot of a person in a red shirt standing in a field, suggesting a different scene or film stock. The footage has natural film grain and warm, nostalgic color tones typical of vintage home movies.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1970s outdoor recreation sequences needing real 8mm home-movie camping material from rural Montana.
Period detail: The clothing, red ridge tent, canvas-style gear, and handheld 8mm color look may show mid-1970s family camping practices.
Home-movie behavior: The clip preserves an unstaged campsite moment as adults handle gear beside a tent rather than pose for the camera.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a red tent, wooded grass, a straw hat, plaid shirt, crouching camper, hanging tarp, pole, and final field shot.
Film character: The footage has visible grain, soft focus, uneven exposure, and color shifts consistent with scanned 8mm home-movie film.
Edit role: An editor could use it as a short camping cutaway, memory beat, or transition between travel and outdoor recreation scenes.
Historical context: The scene offers domestic leisure context around tent camping in a wooded Montana setting without showing a public landmark.
Research note: People and faces are visible, so likeness review may be needed; no logos are apparent, and copyright clearance is separate.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1975 8mm camping footage, Montana campsite home movie, red tent in woods, and 1970s outdoor recreation.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then Agate Springs or Montana 1975 clips, then broader 1970s camping and travel footage.
