A vintage 8mm home movie from 1981 captures a local mayoral candidate in a classic black convertible during a California parade. The candidate, wearing a yellow cap, waves to onlookers as the car moves through a sunlit street. The footage shows a festive atmosphere with people lining the route, some holding American and California state flags. The grainy, color-bleached quality of the Super 8 film adds to the nostalgic, archival feel of this candid moment from a past era.
