Close-up of a vintage wooden sign from a 1980s mountain resort in the Western USA, displaying trail difficulty levels with 'easiest' and 'moderately difficult' options. The sign lists 'Aerial Tram' with a vertical rise of 4,139 feet and 'Eagles Rest' at 330 feet, both marked as double chairlifts. Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Useful for 1980s Western USA resort, skiing, aerial tram, and mountain recreation productions needing a close insert of visitor-facing lift signage.
Period detail: The wooden sign styling, color-coded difficulty dots, and 8mm scan texture may show early 1980s ski-area wayfinding and lift information.
Home-movie behavior: The tight handheld framing reads as a visitor noticing practical resort details rather than a staged promotional view.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include a brown wooden sign, colored trail-difficulty dots, the words easiest and moderately difficult, Aerial Tram, Eagles Rest, double chair, and vertical-rise figures.
Film character: The footage has warm faded color, visible grain, slight blur, gate edges, and handheld drift consistent with scanned 8mm home-movie material.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a cutaway, location-establishing insert, or transition into mountain recreation, tram travel, or vacation memory sequences.
Historical context: The sign documents how a mountain resort communicated lift names and vertical-rise measurements to visitors through analog wooden wayfinding.
Research note: No people are visible, but the resort identity and sign design should be reviewed for location, trademark, copyright, or property-related concerns.
Research search match: Matches searches for 1980s 8mm ski resort sign, aerial tram vertical rise, Eagles Rest chairlift sign, and Western USA mountain vacation footage.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with same-reel resort footage, then same 1980 Western USA location material, then broader ski lift, tram, mountain travel, or vacation signage clips.
