Multi Box Train Running On A Track Between Multi Skyscrapers — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm footage from Taiwan in 1982 captures a multi-car train with a distinctive orange and cream locomotive approaching on elevated tracks through a dense urban landscape. The scene unfolds from a low-angle perspective between concrete barriers, with the train moving steadily toward the camera under a pedestrian bridge. Surrounding skyscrapers and commercial signage frame the tracks, showcasing mid-20th century city architecture. The film exhibits characteristic Super 8 grain, slight color fading, and motion blur, conveying authentic archival quality. The locomotive's number E413 is visible in the final frame, emphasizing its role in Taiwan's transportation history.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: Suits documentary editors and researchers seeking 1980s Taiwan urban rail footage for transportation history, Asia Pacific infrastructure narratives, or city modernization sequences.
Period detail: The orange-and-cream diesel locomotive livery, concrete trackside infrastructure, and multi-story commercial buildings with Chinese-character signage are consistent with early-1980s Taiwan.
Home-movie behavior: Filmed from a low trackside position between the rails, the footage has the character of a rail enthusiast capturing an approaching train from an unusually close ground-level vantage point.
What appears in frame: Parallel rail tracks with ballast, concrete trackside barriers, an approaching orange-and-cream diesel locomotive, a pedestrian footbridge, multi-story commercial buildings, Chinese-character signage, and utility poles.
Film character: The 8mm stock shows warm color shift with slight fading, visible grain in shadow areas, and natural motion blur as the locomotive passes — textures that authenticate the analogue capture.
Edit role: Works as a wide-to-close approach sequence or cutaway insert in documentaries on Taiwan rail history, Asian urban growth in the 1980s, or transportation infrastructure essays.
Historical context: The locomotive livery and dense urban rail corridor suggest a major Taiwanese city rail artery circa 1982; the specific city location within Taiwan is not visually confirmed from these frames.
Research note: Persons may be present but are not clearly identifiable; locomotive number E413 is a vehicle identifier; building signage may include third-party trademarks — verify before commercial use.
Research search match: Likely found via searches for Taiwan train 1980s, vintage Taiwan locomotive, 8mm Asia rail footage, archival diesel train approach, or Taiwan transportation history.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with other Taiwan 1982 footage from the same reel, then with 1980s East Asian urban transport scenes, then with other archival diesel locomotive approach or station shots.
