Troy New York USA-1973: Woman Wearing Glasses and Gold Earrings Smiles While Looking Down

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit

Suited for 1970s American domestic life sequences — intimate portrait of a woman in a home interior, useful for family history, social history, or nostalgia-driven documentary productions.

Period detail

Bouffant hairstyle, oversized dark-rimmed glasses, hoop earrings, and patterned jacket are consistent with early-to-mid 1970s American fashion; wood-paneled interior and plaid upholstery reinforce the era.

Home-movie behavior

The subject appears only partly aware of the camera, glancing downward with a natural expression — an unstaged private moment rather than a posed portrait.

What appears in frame

Styled blonde bouffant hair, dark-rimmed glasses, large gold hoop earring, checkered dark jacket, wood-paneled wall, ornate gilt-framed picture, plaid upholstered furniture, and bare tree branches through a window.

Film character

Strong purple-violet color cast from aged 8mm stock, visible grain, and soft focus at frame edges — characteristic of early 1970s color home-movie film exposed in a low-light indoor setting.

Edit role

Works as a character insert or intimate memory beat in a personal history or 1970s period piece; the downward glance in frames 2–3 cuts cleanly as an introspective punctuation or domestic cutaway.

Historical context

Wood-paneled walls, plaid upholstery, and an ornate framed picture reflect typical middle-class American domestic décor of the early 1970s; the subject's bouffant hair and hoop earrings follow mainstream fashion of the period.

Research note

An identifiable adult face is visible in all frames; editorial or commercial use may require a model release or heir consent and a property release for the private interior; Stockfilm makes no copyright claim on underlying footage.
