Tropical Backyard with Olympic-Sized Pool — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1976 showing a tranquil backyard scene with an Olympic-sized swimming pool. The camera pans slowly across the pool, revealing clear blue water, a metal ladder, and a surrounding patio. Lush green grass, palm trees, and tropical plants frame the pool area, with a marshy wetland and distant trees visible in the background. The footage has authentic film grain, slight color fading, and a dark vignette border, capturing a nostalgic mid-century American suburban lifestyle.

Archive Intelligence

Archive brief fit: 1970s 8mm home-movie footage suited to requests for quiet poolside grounds, leisure-property atmosphere, or travel-era exterior cutaways.
Period detail: The scene may show 1970s resort or residential landscaping, with a shaped swimming pool, metal ladder, clipped lawn, palms, and planted borders.
Home-movie behavior: The camera observes the pool and surrounding grounds from an elevated, unstaged viewpoint rather than following people or action.
What appears in frame: Visible elements include blue pool water, pale pool decking, a metal ladder, dark foreground foliage, trimmed grass, palms, shrubs, and a pond or wetland beyond.
Film character: The scan carries 8mm texture with soft focus, mild color fading, visible grain, gate shadows, and a dark vertical contact-sheet border.
Edit role: An editor could use this as a short exterior insert, leisure-estate cutaway, travel-memory pause, or transition from domestic space to landscape.
Historical context: The footage reflects a quiet landscaped leisure setting, with pool design and planting presented through a home-movie travel or family-record perspective.
Research note: No people, logos, or readable signs are visible, but copyright, location identity, and any property permissions should be reviewed separately.
Research search match: Useful search matches include 1970s 8mm pool footage, Greece home movie garden pool, vintage resort grounds, and swimming pool cutaway.
Archive pairing path: Pair first with adjacent reel material, then other Greece 1976 exteriors, then broader 1970s pool, garden, resort, or landscaped-grounds scenes.
