Vintage 8mm home movie footage from Michigan, USA, in 1961 captures a father and daughter attempting to water ski on a calm lake. The father, wearing a dark shirt, supports his daughter, who wears a bright orange life vest and a white head covering, as they struggle to rise from the water. They remain seated on the water, holding onto a yellow tow rope, with black water skis visible. The grainy, slightly faded color and dark frame borders are characteristic of 8mm film, evoking a nostalgic, personal memory of a summer vacation.
