Vintage 8mm home movie footage from Michigan USA in 1961 captures a family enjoying a summer vacation on a lake. A man in a light-colored shirt steers a small motorboat while a woman sits beside him. A young man in dark swim trunks water skis behind the boat, gliding across the choppy water and leaving a white wake. The grainy, slightly faded color and soft focus are characteristic of 1960s amateur film, with a dark border framing the scene. The clip evokes a nostalgic, carefree mid-century American leisure moment.
