Summertime Water Skiing On The Lake Pulled By A Motorboat — Clip Details

Vintage 8mm home movie footage from 1961 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, showing a person water skiing on a lake, pulled by a motorboat. The grainy, slightly blurry image captures the motion of the skier gliding across the water with a wake trailing behind. A small motorboat speeds across the lake, creating white spray as it pulls the skier. The scene is framed by dark borders, typical of old film reels, with a wooded shoreline in the background. The footage has a nostalgic, authentic 1960s summer recreation feel, with natural lighting and muted colors characteristic of 8mm film.

Historical context: The scene documents recreational water skiing and motorboat leisure on a wooded lake setting, with no visible landmarks or identifiable public event in the frames.
Research note: People are visible at a distance, so likeness review may be needed; no logos, private property, or music are indicated, and copyright clearance is separate.
